Our restaurant was awarded THREE STARS (out of four) by the Chicago Tribune's restaurant critic Phil Vettel. We are very honored by the recognition and would like to thank all of our customers for believing in us by supporting our restaurant. We could not have done this without the support of our staff and guests/friends. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart.

Our menu changes weekly and is seasonal. Our cuisine has been described as new american meets french meets latin caribbean. We are eclectic and choose to be that way so that there is always something new and exciting to experience at the restaurant.

Whether it is dining al fresco on our 600 square foot deck, watching the game with friends in our bar, or sharing an intimate dinner in the dining room, Chef Amaury is sure to delight the senses. We are located in the new “Restaurant Row,” and we are so excited to be a part of downtown Aurora’s resurgence!

See more about Sri Venkateswara Swami (Balaji) Temple, Aurora Illinois below.
Thousands of devotees from the Midwestern states, especially from Chicago land used to travel to Pittsburgh to have darshan of Sri Venkateswara swami. While the experience was spiritually rewarding, the time and effort required to make the trip was making it difficult for many to have his darshan as often as their hearts desired. Many felt a void in their spiritual lives and their discontent was wide spread. The state of affairs continued until 1985. As a result of philanthropy of nine families who donated 20 acres of land with a farm house in Aurora (a far west suburb of Chicago), as a site for the proposed Balaji temple, a beginning was made in the realization of a dream of many. Since Sri Venkateswara swami (Balaji) temple is an institution that has to serve innumerable generations to come, plans were drawn on a magnificent scale related to the means available and the needs of the moment. No pains were spared in making its designs meet the agamic space requirements when at the same time ensuring that it also meets the local building codes, structural safety standards and the needs of the community.

Padmasri M.Muthiah Sthapathy, a noted expert on temple construction in India collaborated with Sri Subhash Nadkarni, a reputed architect of Chicago and a devotee of Balaji, and together they designed the temple. This design is an excellent blend of ancient Shilpa shastra and modern architectural technology. This design also served as a model for other temples that were built later in the United States. A unique feature of the temple is provision for circumambulation (pradakshina) inside the temple not only around the presiding deity, but around all the major shrines inside the temple.

See more about Kiwanis Club of Aurora, Aurora Illinois below.
\Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing our World one child and one community at a time.\

As one of 8,500 clubs in 90+ countries, the Kiwanis Club of Aurora is proud to serve many issues involving children while it supports our community in many other ways with a focus on SERVICE...MEMBERSHIP GROWTH...and FUN & FELLOWSHIP.

The Aurora Kiwanis Club, organized on September 20th and chartered with 52 members on November 24, 1916, was the first club in the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District and the twenty-first club chartered in the world. Since that time, Kiwanis has grown to over 8,500 clubs and membership in excess of 320,000! Kiwanis is in over 90 nations or geographic areas. The Aurora Kiwanis Club currently has approximately 75 members. The total Kiwanis family is over 560,000. The name \Kiwanis\ was coined from an expression of the American Indians in the Detroit area. The expression \Nun Kee-wan-nis\ meant broadly, \we trade\ or \we share our talents.\ The Kiwanis Club of Aurora is alive to all community projects that are worthwhile, and especially those interests which help to make Aurora an excellent community in which to live. Among these are the scholarship awards presented annually to deserving high school students who plan to continue their education. Today, the club has three major fund raising projects each year, Pancake Day and Placemat Ads in the spring, and Peanut Day in the fall. In addition, we ring bells for the Salvation Army each Christmas Season, support a summer camp for children with disabilities (Camp Forever), and support numerous other worthy community causes. The Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce owes its existence largely to the Aurora Kiwanis club, as we held the first membership drive. Ed Finch was the first Kiwanis President and he was also the first Chamber President in 1921. The local Boy Scout Council was sponsored by this club, and many of its presidents were club members. The first Community Chest (now United Way) was organized by Past President - Harry Chawgo, and many Kiwanians have been officers. The Salvation Army Board was organized by this club and many Kiwanians have served as board members. Kiwanis was the first service club to actively support Good Will Industries in Aurora. One of the first community projects was the raising of funds for the erection of the Juvenile Protective Association Building, the old one having burned. This was carried out successfully and through the years the club enjoyed the annual Christmas party with the children. The Kiwanis Club of Aurora is also proud of its sponsorship of its Sponsored Groups such as the K-Kids, Builders Club, Key Clubs, AKtion Club and Circle K Clubs.

See more about Aurora Public Library, Aurora Illinois below.
Established in 1881 by city ordinance, The Aurora Public Library was located in the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) Hall at 23 East Downer Place until 1904, when the current building at 1 E. Benton St. was erected using a $50,000 grant from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. In 1969, the library underwent a major renovation, when two three-story wings and a modern façade were added on, expanding the building to its current 44,000 square feet.

The library has grown in other ways over the years. In a 1953 experiment, a Bookmobile was leased from the Illinois State Library to extend services to Aurora’s schoolchildren. Pleased with the results, the library purchased that Bookmobile, and has employed one ever since. The current Bookmobile has served the community since 2003.

In the 1990s, two branch libraries were added. The Eola Road Branch on the city’s east side opened in 1993 and was expanded in 2003 to meet heavy patron demand. The West Branch, on the campus of Washington Middle School, opened in 1998.

With an eye to the future, the library purchased the former Beacon-News property at 101 S. River St. in early 2010 with the intent of building a new, state-of-the-art main library by 2014.

See more about Faith Lutheran Church, Aurora Illinois below.
Welcome to Faith Lutheran Church! Faith is a church where you can bring your spiritual question and know that you will always be welcomed. When you go to church — for the first time in years or the first time in a new town — you long to find a place you can feel at home … a place where you feel safe.

Safe to explore Christianity at your own pace
Safe to bring your kids
Safe to ask tough questions about faith
Safe to grow spiritually

And it all begins with our weekend services:
Great music, during the service … friendly people following the service, talking, laughing … your kids being welcomed by caring leaders in our Kidwerks children’s ministry … not having to worry about being singled out as a visitor or being pressured to give money … wearing clothes you’d wear to a friend’s house … messages that are tied into everyday life … a place where you feel safe.

Our website is designed with this same goal in mind: to help you ask questions, find answers, seek insight into what Christianity is all about, and how Faith can help you along your spiritual journey … no matter from where you are starting or to where you are heading.

Welcome to Faith.
Pastor Rob

Our Beliefs
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to invite all people into everyday faith, to grow, serve, and become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Lutherans in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) are Christians who trust Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We share a common faith with other Christians who affirm the Bible as sacred Scripture and accept the ancient creeds as accurate summaries of our faith. Lutherans are unique only in our history and emphasis on salvation through faith alone.
God
We believe in the Triune God – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We acknowledge one God in these three persons. We believe that God the Father is the Creator of all that exists, and that God continues to be active in the lives of people today. God is passionate about His creation, loves it deeply, and desires that our lives be filled with love and joy.

Sin
We believe that human beings are born with an inner rebellion against God’s authority, and that rebellion separates us from God. Sin is the name that Scripture gives this rebellion. We are powerless to bridge the gap between God and ourselves. Unless this gap is healed, we live and die apart from God.

Jesus Christ
We believe that while God has revealed Himself in many ways throughout history, He is most fully known in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, is fully God and fully human. The most important event in Christian history is the death and resurrection of Jesus. On the cross God makes Himself present, hidden in weakness, vulnerability and suffering. In the cross we learn that we do not need to find God by being good or holy. Instead God finds us in our darkness, pain, emptiness and weakness.
By God’s grace we learn to see the cross as God reaching out to us. And in Jesus’ resurrection, we see God’s power to liberate us from sin and death. By our faith in Jesus’ sacrifice, our sin is forgiven and we are made right with God, freed to be all that God created us to be.

The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the living Word of God. It is the primary means by which God’s Spirit enters our lives, calling us to repentance and faith. When we hear God’s Word, God breaks into our lives shattering old ways and creating new life, new values and new commitment.
Lutherans do not tend to understand the Bible literally, nor do we worship the Bible. Instead, we seek to leave ourselves open to the work of God’s Spirit through the words of the Bible.

Baptism
We believe that God has chosen to work through the water of baptism. When water and God’s Word come together and touch the life of a child or adult, we are born again, incorporated into Christ, into his body, the Church. By grace, we receive God’s forgiveness through baptism, and are given the gift of God’s Holy Spirit.
In baptism, especially infant baptism, we affirm that God chooses us – we did not choose God. Our baptism reminds us that our status with God never depends upon how we feel, whether we have the “right” religious experience, or our success or failures. Baptism reminds us that God loves us as we are, but refuses to leave us that way.

Holy Communion
We believe that God reaches out to us through the celebration of his supper, Holy Communion. By eating the bread and wine by faith, we give flesh to the Christ who continues to work in us and in the world. In Holy Communion we are reminded of Christ’s loving sacrifice, reminded that God is with us daily in ordinary experience, and reminded that a great feast of victory awaits the faithful when Christ comes again.

The Church
We believe that the Church is the people of God, called to live by faith as witnesses of God’s love and redeeming work in the world. We are not called to live as Christians in isolation, but in community. God calls us to gather in worship, study and fellowship.
Growing as a Christian
We believe that Christians are called to grow in faith, love and obedience to the will of God throughout our lives. We are never done growing! Growth happens whenever we place ourselves in the path of God’s Holy Spirit and allow ourselves to be open to the Spirit’s work in us. We believe that God’s Spirit works most often through the Word, the Sacraments (baptism and Holy Communion), and by gathering together with other Christians in worship, study, and fellowship

Students reach exceptional levels of achievement. While IMSA students' standardized test scores are among the nation's highest, their college readiness includes more than high scores. Their evidence of deep learning through research projects, mentorships, published studies, and presentations at professional conferences makes them highly attractive candidates to the nation's most selective colleges and universities. The five Illinois universities that enroll the highest number of IMSA graduates from the classes of 2006-2010 are University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Northwestern University, The University of Chicago, University of Illinois at Chicago, and Illinois Institute of Technology. The five out-of-state universities that enroll the highest number of IMSA graduates from the classes of 2006-2010 are Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Case Western Reserve University, Washington University in St. Louis, Carnegie Mellon University and Duke University.

IMSA faculty members include Presidential Award winners, National Board of Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) certified faculty, distinguished authors and fellowship recipients. All faculty have advanced degrees, with 51% holding doctorate degrees. In 1998, Nobel Laureate Dr. Leon Lederman became the inaugural Resident Scholar at IMSA.

Since it was founded in 1985, the Academy has been uniting the best knowledge of how people learn with input from experts in mathematics, science, technology and other fields. IMSA's models of teaching and learning are recognized nationally and abroad. Delegations of educators from Illinois, other states and countries including Australia, China, France, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Korea, the Netherlands, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand come to IMSA to study curriculum and instruction models.

IMSA was named the winner of the 2009 Intel Schools of Distinction Star Innovator Award. Each year, only one educational institution in the nation is the recipient of this prestigious recognition.

IMSA has been profiled by CNN, Nature journal, NBC-TV's Dateline and the New York Times to name a few. The Wall Street Journal and Worth Magazine named IMSA among the top public college prep programs in the nation for placing graduates in Ivy League and other highly selective universities. Newsweek named IMSA in its list of top \\public elite\\ secondary educational institutions in the nation.

Each year, approximately 250 gifted freshmen who love mathematics and science are invited to attend the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy®. Located in Aurora, 40 miles west of downtown Chicago, IMSA is a public residential high school. Students here soon discover the excitement of belonging to a supportive community of bright, motivated classmates and teachers while exceeding levels of achievement rarely obtained in traditional high schools. See more about Aurora Regional Fire Museum, Aurora Illinois below.
The Aurora Regional Fire Museum is located inside Aurora's old Central Fire Station. It was built in 1894 (read the newspaper description of the new station) and operated by the Aurora Fire Department until 1980. Designed by a local architect, the building's unique bay windows, decorative cornice, and \onion-dome\ were typical of the Victorian-time, and indicative of community pride.

While an active fire station, the Old Central Fire Station underwent a lot of changes to keep up with the changing times and firefighting technology. (learn more about the stations history here) Over the last eighteen years, the City of Aurora and the Aurora Fire Station Preservation Corporation (the parent organization of the Aurora Regional Fire Museum) have undertaken a series of renovations to restore the building to it's original splendo.

Looking for a unique intimate venue for your workshop, presentation or meeting? Come to the \Hottest place in town!\

The Aurora Regional Fire Museum's“Hayloft Theater” features tiered seating for fifty, and audio-visual equipment which includes: video projector, stereo sound, DVD and VHS players, and computer hookups, and wireless internet. The adjacent prep-kitchen has a refrigerator, sink, microwave, and full sized oven and stove.

The theater is rented by the hour, typically with a two-hour minimum. Discounts may apply to other non-profit organizations.

Birthday Parties:

Whether it's for a five year-old (or someone with a far more candles on the cake) firefighting-themed birthdays at the Aurora Regional Fire Museum are some of the hottest parties in town!

While we are flexible on the arrangements, most parties include firefighting cartoons and movies in the hayloft theater. Guided tours of the exhibits, and one or more \hands-on\ activities such as an old fashioned bucket brigade, or trying on real fire gear.

Need help finding the right gift for your fledgling firefighter? Our Hosetower Gift Shop can outfit you and your guests with plastic fire helmets, firefighting toys, books and puzzles, even inexpensive items for party-grab-bags.

The Aurora Regional Fire Museum is open for walk-in visitors on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 1 to 4pm

We suggest a donation of:

$5.00 for adults
$3.00 for children

Your generous support helps us continue our mission and educational programs. Discount rates are available for groups of ten or more. Contributions of any amount are gratefully accepted.

Our services are provided through two programs: our April Rebuilding Event, which provides large scale repairs during a two-week “blitz” event held at the end of April, and our year-round Handyman program, which provides smaller scale more immediate repairs to seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Through our programs, we are able to provide repairs including, but not linited to, roofing, plumbing, electrical, windows, painting, landscaping, energy efficiency upgrades, ADA modifications, safety modifications and flooring. Repair work is done by skilled and unskilled volunteers and contractors.

Our Sponsors, members of Churches, Civic organizations and local Businesses, are given the opportunity to match the skill level of their volunteers with the work identified in a particular home. All volunteers, be they experienced trade professionals or someone just willing to help, work side-by-side in a grassroots effort designed to preserve affordable home ownership.

See more about Basils Greek Dining, Aurora Illinois below.
The chefs at Basils Greek Dining inject culinary innovation into Old World traditions and classic Greek comfort foods to create a menu of lamb, beef, gyros, and vegetarian dishes. The Basil salmon grills a slice of fresh Atlantic fish atop a Promethean flame and accents the plate with a titanic side of julienne vegetables ($17 for lunch; $19 for dinner). Chefs heap sautéed chicken breast amid fresh mushrooms, artichokes, basil, tomato, and a downy bed of pasta to create the chicken lemonati ($15 for lunch; $16 for dinner), and tender Colorado lamb basks in garlic, oregano, and virgin olive oil in the oven-roasted lamb dish ($17 for lunch; $19 for dinner). The vegetarian dolmades ($12 for lunch; $14 for dinner) stuff ripe grape leaves with rice, vegetables, and fresh herbs and spices that dive into a side of homemade Greek yogurt with the enthusiasm of a dolphin in a wave pool.

Basils Greek Dining's wine list ($6+ / glass) brims with an international selection of vino that draws heavily from the amphorae of Greece. Doric columns prevent the floor from levitating in the warm-toned dining room, where lanterns hang from the ceilings and tables stand atop either the restaurant's hardwood or stone flooring.

See more about The Comedy Shrine, Aurora Illinois below.
It all started in January 2006 because Dave Sinker is crazy! Seriously, what grown man in his right mind would decide to jeopardize his children’s college educations and invest everything he has in a comedy theater. The kind of man who recognizes that we all have the need, especially these days, to laugh. So he enticed a group of some of the best comedians in the Chicagoland area, trained at the most prestigious comedy schools in the country, to come out to Aurora and entertain you.

The Comedy Shrine’s décor is unlike any other comedy theater in America. The walls and lobby of The Comedy Shrine feature comedy memorabilia and collectibles from the personal collection of The Comedy Shrine’s founder, David Sinker. This collection consists of over three hundred items representing such comic legends as The Marx Brothers, Charlie Chaplin, Abbott & Costello, The Three Stooges, and Laurel & Hardy.

The Comedy Shrine has a lounge area and provides a fully-stocked bar serving beer, wine, liquor soft drinks & snacks.

The Comedy Shrine provides Improv, Stand-Upu and Comedy Writing classes. Our classes are taught by our professional actors and writers and will help you with team work, acting skills, and having fun!

The Comedy Shrine supports local non-for-profit organizations that are looking to raise money for their cause. We’ve worked with some great local organizations such as Breast Cancer Awareness, Leukemia & Lymphoma Support, Autism Speaks, Home & Schools, dance troupes and many other worthwhile causes.

The Comedy Shrine would like to help you and your organization put the FUN back in Fundraising! Host your own “Comedy Shrine Night” and your organization could raise up to $1,000.00 or more for one night of comedy!

See more about AMERICA HELPING HEROES #1107, Aurora Illinois below.
America Helping Heroes is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of our post 9/11 combat troops.

Founded in late 2008 by author/musician Angela Alegna, America Helping Heroes is in the community to ensure that no returning military member is neglected and left to deal with the obstacles of life after war alone.

AIMS

Abolish the homeless population of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans by the end of 2012.

At present there are nearly 3000 displaced post 9/11 veterans. This number is not inclusive of those living with their friends or relatives, or living on the streets away from the shelter system.

While some Vietnam veterans became homeless within 5 - 10 years, our current generation is taking fewer than 18 months.

Lower the high rate of suicide among veterans to where it is on par with the national average.

Currently the suicide rate among veterans is 2 to 4 times higher than the national average with over 50 men and women a day attempting to take their own lives and 18 succeeding.

To get a mandatory counseling bill passed whereby all returning combat troops receive counseling regardless of rank, gender, or experience in theater.

Mandatory counseling would go a long way to ensure that the unseen wounds of war are detected and treated early on without fear of stigma. This would serve to protect our combat troops from the side effects of PTSD and depression and reduce the high rate of suicide among active and inactive military members.

Raise awareness of what coming home can really mean for our returning troops and bring to light the fourth process of war -- reintegration.

Involve every community with its local heroes.

Homelessness, unemployment, psychological fallout, and unnecessary physical suffering among returning troops are a direct result of neglect. With the involvement of the community, these potential problems can be prevented.

Restore the honor and gratitude that Americans had for their military pre-Vietnam.

\Let's vow to never forget the three greatest human attributes -- compassion, hope, and faith. With these ingredients we can solve any problem and work miracles\. - Angela Alegna

Advent Christians trace their roots back over one hundred and fifty years to the life and ministry of William Miller. A farmer and United States army captain from upstate New York, William Miller became a Christian in the late 1820’s. His study of the Bible convinced him of the soon return of Jesus Christ to earth.

Captain Miller’s work caused evangelical churches to take seriously the Bible’s teaching regarding Christ’s Second Advent. From 1840 until the turn of the twentieth century, Advent Christian Churches were established by traveling pastors and evangelists across the United States and Canada.

The Advent Christian Church (officially called the Advent Christian General Conference) was organized in 1860 in Salem, Massachusetts. At first the General Conference simply provided some organization for the new churches and printed a large number of books, tracts, and newspapers. As the churches grew, so did concern for proclaiming Christ’s gospel.

Advent Christian missions grew rapidly. In 1866, the American Advent Mission Society was organized to work with freed slaves enduring the hardship of a divisive war. Mission efforts expanded into China, Japan, the Philippines, Nigeria, Mexico, and India. Today Advent Christians continue to emphasize missions. We want to follow William Miller’s example by proclaiming the hope we find through Jesus Christ throughout the world.

As a part of the Advent Christian Denomination, we are non-creedal which means that we do not have a specific doctrinal statement that all of our members must ascribe to for membership. With that in mind, we refer you to the following doctrinal statements below to get an idea of the theological beliefs of our church.

As members of the National Association of Evangelicals the following reflects our church's core beliefs.
1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

4. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
=
The Advent Christian Denomination Declaration of Principles

1. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, being in its entirety a revelation given to man under divine inspiration and providence; that its historic statements are correct, and that it is the only divine and infallible standard of faith and practice.

2. We believe, as revealed in the Bible:
· In one God, our Father, eternal, and infinite in his wisdom, love and power, the Creator of all things, \\\\\\\\in whom we live, and move, and have our being.\\\\\\\\

· And in Jesus Christ, our Lord, the only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; who came into our world to seek and to save that which was lost; who died for our sins; who was raised bodily from the dead for our justification; who ascended in heaven as our High Priest and Mediator, and who will come again in the end of this age, to judge the living and the dead, and to reign forever and ever.

· And in the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, sent from God to convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, whereby we are sanctified and sealed unto the day of redemption.

3. We believe that man was created for immortality, but that through sin he forfeited his divine birthright; that because of sin, death entered into the world, and passed upon all men; and that only through faith in Jesus Christ, the divinely ordained Life-giver, can men become \\\\\\\\partakers of the divine nature,\\\\\\\\ and live forever.

4. We believe that death is a condition of unconsciousness to all persons, righteous and wicked; a condition which will remain unchanged until the resurrection at Christ's Second Coming, at which time the righteous will receive everlasting life while the wicked will be \\\\\\\\punished with everlasting destruction;\\\\\\\\ suffering complete extinction of being.

5. We believe that salvation is free to all those who, in this life and in this age, accept it on the conditions imposed, which conditions are simple and inflexible, namely, turning from sin, repentance toward God, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and a life of consecration to the service of God; thus excluding all hope of a future probation, or of universal salvation.

6. We believe that Jesus Christ, according to his promise, will come again to this earth, even \\\\\\\\in like manner\\\\\\\\ as he went into heaven - personally, visibly and gloriously - to reign here forever; and that this coming is the hope of the church, inasmuch as upon that coming depend the resurrection and reward of the righteous, the abolition of sin and its consequences, and the renewal of the earth - now marred by sin - to become the eternal home of the redeemed, after which event the earth will be forever free from sin and death.

7. We believe that Bible prophecy has indicated the approximate time of Christ's return; and comparing its testimony with the signs of our times, we are confident the he is near, \\\\\\\\even at the doors,\\\\\\\\ and we believe that the great duty of the hour is the proclamation of this soon-coming redemption, the defense of Bible authority, inspiration and truth, and the salvation of lost men.

8. We believe the church of Christ is an institution of divine origin, which includes all true Christians, of whatever name; but that local church organizations should be independent of outside control, congregational in government, and subject to no dictation of priest, bishop or pope - although true fellowship and unity of action should exist between all such organizations.

9. We believe that the only ordinances of the church of Christ are Baptism and the Lord's Supper; immersion being the only true baptism.

10. We believe that the first day of the week, as the day set apart by the early church in commemoration of Christ's resurrection, should be observed as the Christian Sabbath, and used as a day of rest and religious worship.

11. We believe that war is contrary to the spirit and teachings of our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ; that it is contrary to the spirit of true brotherhood; and that our influence should be used against it. We believe the Bible also teaches that properly constituted government is ordained of God and is a divine instrument for man's welfare and protection. When an Advent Christian decides on the basis of Scripture and conscience, either to bear arms or to submit to penalties imposed for his refusal to do so, local Advent Christian congregations should extend continued fellowship and nurture.
